The purpose of the Ewe Lead competition is to present a class of sheep in
the most attractive manner, to give spectators a real opportunity to view
a style show and to improve the image of a sheep show.
Sheep must be a ewe or ewe lamb conditioned, fitted and trained to
show at halter.
The entrant will be judged on the mode of clothing selected.
The garment must be made of wool. Judging will include control,
presentation, and appearance of the animal.
Entrants of any age will be accepted. Exhibitor must write a
narrative submitted on a 3”X5” card with a description of the item
of wool being worn, the sheep being lead, and an item of interest
about the entrant. This should be turned in the day of the Ewe Lead.
Preferred entry deadline – June 11, 2008 – but all will be allowed
to participate if they meet the qualifications.
